Do you know what's different tonight?
1. My blog header is back, yay!
2. I survived the conference. And, I was confirmed (?? It
was made official but I don't get sworn in until July) as chapter president. I
know, very daunting thought, but it's going to be a fun ride.
All in all it was a
great day, I regret not making it to a single panel because, as I mentioned in
a speech I gave today, listening to the panels is like going to school but not
having to worry about tests and papers. For us geeky types, that's pretty
exciting. Going back to my alma mater and seeing the changes that have happened
in the less than two years since I graduated was pretty mind-blowing as well.
My presidency will be a busy time for the chapter; we're
hosting SECoPA in 2014, by the time it actually gets here, I will hold the
official title of Immediate Past President (I do so love a confusing title),
we've got next year's academic conference, and hopefully, we'll have another
federal employment workshop. I'm ready for the challenge.
"Pretty
Presidential"
This was taken at the end of the evening (it looks super
light outside, but it was like 8:30pm) and I had been standing in heels for
over 8 hours. I think I held up pretty well J
