So today was my "travel day" for my first camp for GSSA 2013... I had to drive all the way to Alpharetta, GA. I know, how did I possibly make it? The best part of today was meeting my travel partner for the summer. It's like we were separated at birth. I kid you not. We will henceforth be known as the WonderTwins. My partner, Shook, and I, along with our core team member Patricia, hit up a ton of local stores to recruit employees for camp today. And now they know why I am staying in a hotel that's only 20 miles from my house. We went to the store that is closest to my house and it took us about two hours to get there and about three to get back. Yes, Atlanta traffic stinks.
Here's a selfie I took when my travel partner and our core team member left me sitting at the dinner table to go take a conference call outside. I figured it was already awkward enough with me sitting there all alone looking like the rest of my party had dined and dashed on me, so I figured I would just add a selfie to the fun.
Every other travel team (we're the last to start traveling) has a traveling monkey mascot. Ours didn't arrive on time, but while we were picking up supplies at Wal-Mart, we saw this little guy and decided that a WonderTwin shopping selfie was in order :-)
