Today started out with a trip to the mailbox. And a bit of
righteous indignation. I received this letter in the mail from my ISP:
I have had them out to my apartment over and over and over
again in the last four years. The very first guy who came out found 5(!!)
splitters in the walls of my apartment that were causing signal loss and he
ended up disabling all of the cable jacks in my apartment other than the living
room one when he removed them (quality apartment craftsmanship). Neither of my
TVs has ever been hooked up to anything other than a Blu-ray player in this
apartment. I'm just irked that despite all of the service calls I've had they're
just now discovering I've been "stealing" cable? For realz? Is this
the reason for the harassing sales calls I've been receiving up to three times
a day for the last few months trying to get me to sign up for TV service
Charter?
After getting myself all worked up over that letter (which I
know is bothering me way more than it should) I decided a Dr. Pepper was in
order... and discovered I was down to my last Caffeine-Free Non-Diet Dr. Pepper
that I smuggled back to Georgia last year. This makes me very sad.
I used to have a serious Dr. Pepper problem, several cans a
day. Becoming caffeine-free killed that… until I traveled around the country
last summer and found it all over the place. I guess it's just here in the
South that you can only go caffeine-free if you're going diet, which doesn't
work for me since I'm allergic to diet sweeteners.

It was good to the last drop.
Now I have to make it to
more decaffeinated-friendly parts of the country again.
