Today was an emotional day.
Not only did I drive in my first funeral procession with
Junior to his burial in Tennessee, but I then drove straight from the
burial to work my last shift at the warehouse in Georgia. So I spent my last "Sweat
Pant Saturday" shift in business professional dress.
Nothing super extra special happened on my last day, I'm not
leaving the company so it wasn't like I had to be walked out or anything. I just made sure I cleaned my stuff off of my
computer and then did a double check of my cubicle to make sure I hadn't left
anything. And then it was over. I think I've been both looking forward to the
change and dreading the change (it's change, so it's a little stressful no
matter how ready you are).
I took this (once again) on my way in the front door at
home.
